A Taste of Pascal

DATE: Thursday December 19th, 19:45-21:15

TITLE: Greatness and Power: The Timeless Insights of Plutarchus

LOCATION: Online

Join an online seminar with Jordi on the teachings of Plutarchus.

Plutarch’s Lives has been part of the university curriculum for ages and influenced many great authors and leaders. This does not surprise: Plutarch aims to teach us how to be good leader and how to live well. His biographies of Pericles, Cato and Caesar show that this is not easy in practice. In this online seminar led by Jordi Wiersma, you will close-read some passages from Plutarch’s work on the orator and philosopher Cicero. Perhaps a taste of Plutarch will give you a taste of wisdom.

The event takes place on Thursday, December the 19th from 19.45 until 21.15. The excerpt will be sent a few days before the session. No preparation required.
